Sculpt 3D Models Online — Tools, Files & Getting Started

Your next creation starts here

Turn a simple shape into something personal.

Start fresh with a shape or give an existing STL or 3MF a new form. Build up surfaces, carve details, pull the silhouette, and smooth the finishing touches—all in your browser. When the shape feels right, keep it in Workspace, add color in Color Studio, or download it for your slicer.

Getting started with Sculpt Studio

Can I sculpt an STL online?

Yes. Open an STL in Sculpt Studio and reshape its surface with Build up, Carve, Grab, Smooth, Flatten, Inflate, and Deflate. Protect areas with Mask, add mesh detail, or rebuild the surface with Remesh. Use Undo and Redo while you work.

Can I start a 3D model from scratch?

Choose from 28 shapes and builders, including spheres, rounded cubes, organic forms, bases, paths, outlines, revolved profiles, and your own 3D text. Add more shapes without replacing your sculpt. Move, rotate, scale, duplicate, lock, and group parts, or preview a fuse to join overlapping solids.

Can I edit and download a 3MF?

Open a supported 3MF to sculpt its geometry while keeping supported face colors. Imported 3MF models and projects with assigned part colors can download as 3MF. Any included assembly can download as STL. Slicer profiles, supports, and toolpaths are not carried into the new file.

Can I reopen separate parts later?

Yes. Workspace saves retain the editable Sculpt project alongside the printable model. Reopen its parts, transformations, groups, masks, and shape settings. Combine operations also retain the original parts so you can restore them later.

How do I color or save my sculpt?

Choose Send to Manual Color Studio or Send to Automatic Color Studio from Export. Either option saves your sculpt to Workspace for free, then opens your chosen studio. Automatic coloring uses credits only when you request a color preview. A page refresh starts a new sculpt. Recover previous session can restore recent edits saved on this device for free; save to Workspace or download for a lasting copy. Your imported source file stays unchanged.

Is Sculpt Studio free to use?

Sculpting and previewing are free. A free account includes three lifetime Sculpt Studio outputs, separate from Color Studio. After those, each standalone Workspace save or download costs five PrintNext Credits. Sending to Color Studio, including its automatic Workspace save, is always free. Automatic coloring has its own credit cost; Color Studio exports follow its separate allowance. Maker, Pro, and Studio memberships include unlimited manual Sculpt Studio outputs.

Is a sculpt ready to print immediately?

Check the exported model in your slicer before printing. Sculpting can change wall thickness, create overhangs, or make surfaces intersect. Confirm scale, repair any mesh problems, and choose supports and printer settings there. This first version supports files up to 50 MB and 250,000 triangles.

A sculpting workflow that stays connected

Shape the model here, plan its colors in Color Studio, and prepare the final print in your slicer.

Start

A shape or a model of your own

Choose a starting shape from the left panel, or open an STL or supported 3MF. Imported dimensions stay in millimeters.

Sculpt

Hands-on tools with room to experiment

Add and arrange parts, adjust brush size and strength, mirror around the selected part or origin, protect areas with masks, and undo changes. Sculpting itself never spends credits.
